SICTA conducts research, development and validation activities in relation to ATM domain innovation, participating in national and European research projects, playing an important role in the European field as the Italian R&D lab for ATM/CNS.
SICTA's main activities include:
· the definition, analysis and validation of advanced operational
concepts, scenarios and procedures consistent with most recent
ATM/CNS technologies and compliant with the implementation plans
of national and international bodies
· Cost Benefit Analysis related to the implementation of new operational
concepts and scenarios
· the design and development of supporting tool prototypes for Air
Traffic Controllers, including HMI, and their integration in validation
platforms
· the design System architectures
